Admissions Policy 2026/2027 Consultation

The Weydon Multi Academy Trust are seeking your views on the Admission Arrangements for the school year 2026/2027 and beyond. This consultation will run from 17th October 2024 until 28th November 2024.

The School Admissions Code (September 2021) published by the Department for Education, requires all Admission Authorities to consult on their admission arrangements if they are seeking to make changes from the previous year or if the arrangements have not been subject to a public consultation for at least 7 years, to ensure all views are heard. Consultation must be for a minimum of 6 weeks between 1 October 2024 and 31 January 2025. The final arrangements must be determined by 28 February 2025.

The proposed changes within the Frogmore Community College Admission Policy:

  • Introduction of a Supplementary Information Form for parents to complete who are wishing to apply for a school place under the Exceptional, Social or Medical criterion number 3. This will aid the parents in supplying focus on the documentation needed when making their request to the School Governors.
  • Introduction of a Supplementary Information Form for parents to complete who are wishing to apply for a school place under the Staff criterion number 2.
  • Removal of the Catchment Area within the current Policy to aid inclusivity
  • Adding additional clarification around the existing arrangements since Frogmore Community College joined the WMAT and since the last consultation

How can I respond to the consultation?

This consultation will run from 17th October 2024 - 28th November 2024. Responses should be sent to: lcrosby@wmat.org.uk or by post to the WMAT, at Weydon Lane, Farnham Surrey GU3 1AR.

What happens next?

After the closing date, responses will be collated and presented to the Frogmore Community College Local Governing Body. They will decide whether to proceed with the proposed changes and put the Admissions Policy to the WMAT Trustees to determine the admission arrangements for the school. Once approved, the admission arrangements will be published on the school website.
